Vermitec Gold Maag 250ml

Vertimec® contains abamectin, an active ingredient derived from a natural soil microorganism. This active ingredient is obtained by fermentation from an actinomycete ("ray fungus"). Abamectin is an acaricide/insecticide that acts by contact and by absorption (during suction). It also has a deep action, i.e. the active ingredient penetrates into the leaf after treatment and remains effective for a long time against feeding and sucking pests. Vertimec is liquid, odorless and leaves no traces.

Abamectin is characterized by a high degree of effectiveness with a low application rate. A high level of efficacy is achieved mainly against thrips, spider mites and leafminer larvae. The effect is generally less against aphids, as they suck in the phloem (main tissue). Abamectin inhibits the transmission of impulses between nerve and muscle cells. The parasites become

quickly paralyzed, stop sucking and feeding and die after 3-4 days. Thanks to this new principle of action, spider mites and insects that have developed resistance to other acaricides and insecticides are detected.

Vertimec® is effective against all sucking stages of spider mites and thrips, and prevents or interrupts the feeding of leafminer larvae. In addition, a significant reduction in fertility or egg-laying capacity has been observed in females that come into contact with the active ingredient.

Properties Eye irritant. Observe precautionary measures on the package. Toxic to bees, bumblebees and fish. Toxic to insects and predatory mites. Vertimec is not toxic to bees and bumblebees 24 hours after application.
