MYKOS® mycorrhizae are a natural, organic species of beneficial soil fungi that create a "sponge-like" mass that collects and stores nutrients and water, increasing the absorption of both.

This single species of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi contains only Rhizophagus intraradices, officially called Glomus intraradices.

MYKOS contains no other microbes such as Trichoderma or ectomycorrhizae.

MYKOS is a fast-growing beneficial fungus that increases nutrient and water uptake by creating a symbiotic relationship with a plant's roots. MYKOS is needed to break down, recycle and retain nutrients and provide a first line of defense against environmental stresses, pathogens and disease. MYKOS will continue to grow with your plants, becoming an extension of the roots and delivering greater efficiency and durability. With a larger, healthier root system, plants have the potential to increase crop yields and secondary metabolites.

MYKOS works fast and creates strong roots in 95% of common plants. MYKOS is a single species of endo-mycorrhizal fungus, Rhizophagus intraradices, eliminating all types of root competition. Why only endo-mycorrhizae? Ecto-mycorrhizae have no beneficial effect on vegetables, fruit, flowers or herbs.

MYKOS helps new plantings reduce transplant shock by stimulating new root growth. MYKOS forms hyphae that increase root mass, resulting in greater absorption of nutrients and moisture. The fungal network can transport nutrients over long distances and deliver them directly into the root cell. Plants provide MYKOS with energy in the form of carbohydrates produced during photosynthesis. Individual plants can connect with other plants through this mycorrhizal network, sharing nutrients, sugars and water and attracting more soil microbes.

MYKOS protects your plants from drought and heat stress, while preventing harmful pathogens from coming into contact with the roots. MYKOS can also improve soil structure in clayey and sandy soils. MYKOS also helps to break down organic compounds and convert them into plant food available to plants.
