The DimLux can be used as a normal (electronic) ballast in a normal system with relay and timer. However, if the Dimlux is used in combination with the OptiClimate Maxi Controller, the performance of the Dimlux will be maximized and all its features can be used.
The DimLux can be plugged directly into an outlet in combination with the Maxi Controller, without the use of relays, timers or timers. This reduces costs.
When the DimLux is controlled by the Maxi Controller, it does not have an inrush current as a single (electronic) ballast. A normal inrush current ranges from 50 to 160 amps per (electronic) ballast. With recent electronic ballasts, the inrush current is limited to a value between 50 and 60 amps thanks to the soft start technology. This is still a considerable value. When multiple (electronic) ballasts are used, this value is multiplied by the number of (electronic) ballasts used.the DimLux is switched on quietly with the Maxi Controller and reaches the desired brightness, which varies from 35 to 100 %.
The Maxi Controller can adapt the brightness to the ambient temperature. If the set temperature is exceeded, the light is automatically dimmed.
All DimLux are controlled by one Maxi Controller, so that all DimLux are dimmed simultaneously. This is particularly useful for new plantings. The light output can be increased by, for example, 10% every day. It is possible to connect 160 DimLux to 1 Maxi Controller.
