The yellow, double-sided sticky trap is suspended in the plant in an easily accessible place. Regular monitoring provides information on the first appearance of pests or on the effect of ongoing phytosanitary measures. In the case of leafminers, better capture rates are obtained if the trap is placed horizontally on the substrate.
Like all sticky traps, yellow traps are only suitable for monitoring, but not for complete control of a pest infestation.
Infestations of sciarids, whiteflies, leafhoppers, leafminers and aphids can be controlled with the following products and aids:
