System maintenance:
Irrigation systems that are regularly maintained with Athena Cleanse treatment last longer and consistently perform optimally.
This is because Cleanse helps break down limescale, mineral deposits and other organic matter that has built up in the system.
For regular maintenance, use a diluted mixture of 2 to 5 ml of water per gallon.
Difficult conditions:
Increase the rate to 5-10 ml per gallon of water to combat heavy reservoir and growing medium conditions.
Cuttings/clones:
Athena Cleanse is a must for all fresh cuttings.
Dip fresh cuttings in a solution of Cleanse (10 ml per gallon) to improve cell health and increase immunity.
Seedlings and cuttings treated with Cleanse have more vitality and are more likely to become robust plants.

RDWC and other recirculating hydroponic systems:
Any recirculating irrigation or deep-water culture (DWC) system should use Athena Cleanse to increase oxygen and nutrient availability.
Irrigation water treated with Cleanse is less likely to develop problems often associated with excess water and insufficient oxygen, such as anaerobic microbial proliferation and biofilm formation.
The use of Cleanse in a recirculating or DWC system helps to break down materials with lower solubility values, such as mineral complexes, which are no longer available to plants. Mineral build-up and blockage is one of the main causes of deficiencies and plant health problems - solve these problems with Athena Cleanse.
Media/system rinse:
Mix Athena Cleanse at a rate of 5-10 ml/gallon of water during the final rinse phase to reduce the build-up of residual minerals in growing media and plant tissue.
Reducing excess minerals in the final phase of life encourages the plant to produce more of the oils, aromas and flavors associated with a quality end product.
This method can be used at any time during the vegetative or flowering phase, when the growing medium or irrigation system is developing a mineral imbalance or unwanted accumulations.
Foliar application:
Mix 375 ml Cleanse per gallon of water and spray evenly. Test on a small area first to make sure there is no damage.
