Ideal for small plants or as a growing pot before later repotting into Air-Pots or Root Pouches.
The side walls feature holes at the end of the outward-facing cones, allowing air to penetrate the root ball.
The inward-facing cones guide the roots towards the outward-facing ones, which have a ventilation hole.
Here, the water content decreases while the oxygen content increases, causing the root tips to dry out. This natural "pruning" by the air stimulates more intense root growth.
The plant responds by developing more roots, which rapidly branch out to form a dense network of fine roots.
This promotes the formation of a firm, radial root ball, enabling the plant to absorb nutrients more efficiently.
Another advantage is the increased aeration of the root zone, which limits the establishment of parasites and prevents mold formation.
The porosity of the Air-Pot also improves conditions for beneficial bacterial activity, increasing the availability of nutrient salts to the plant.
Thanks to this well-developed root system, which extends right down to the trunk, water and nutrient uptake is optimized.
